Patsy's having a heart-to-heart, or beak-to-beak chat with her little son, Flip, Mixed Crested Polish cockerel.
We bought our wonderful little farm in 2001. With it came 11 hens. Patsy, above, a Silver Laced Wyandotte hen, was middle-aged or older.
One spring, while up at the house for medical care, she adopted a set of chicks we'd brought home from the feed store. She made a much better mom than us. Patsy loved and cared for her adopted family as if she had hatched them herself. Thank you, Patsy.

Over the years of fowl adventures, pleasures and sorrows we've gathered a vast collection of tails and tales. Too many for just one page. So, we've scattered our stories through the dozens of pages in this our egg-stremely egg-centric and egg-ceptionally fluffed website.
To make it easier to get around and to not miss any hidden morsels, we've created a fast and convenient path your many page choices. Site Map appers in the menu bar of most pages so you can wonder around and find your way home, too.
Thank you for scatching and pecking awhile with us.
