Pictured above:  Indira, Dark Aseel (or Asil) hen.
Although she looks quite menacing, she's not.
She is a excellent and vigilant mother, and a very broody hen,
meaning she frequently sits on a nest or clutch of eggs with the intent of hatching them.

She has never been a caged hen.
Daily she searches anywhere on our 3 acres
for bugs and other wonderful morsels.
