While visiting his grandparents, Jethro, age 3, offers Billy, our Pygmy buck goat, both a scoop of corn and a stick to munch on.

Hatchlings Kamala (left) and Siddhartha lived inside for a few weeks before they were ready to join their chicken yard family.  During a little out-of-the-cage exercise time, Sidd thought it a good time for a little show and tell. After his annual molt (feather shedding), Moe, a Golden Laced Crested Polish rooster, had just one wild crest feather standing, a seemingly striking resemblance to his quirky, egg-centric personality.  On Memorial Day, we offer a 21 crow salute to Moe who died in the line of duty.  Serving as flock sentry on the more risky outer fringes of the chicken yard, he gave his life protecting the flock from a predatory hawk.  Be at peace Moe. Be at peace one and all.
